A simple request and summer text to my children:
FYI and per your requests…the grocery order was delivered and we currently have bananas, apples, nectarines, plums, grapes, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, peaches, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, lettuce, mushrooms, yogurt, pierogies, pizzas, corn dogs, Mac-n-cheese cups, ramen noodles, tilapia, salmon, shrimp, bagels, cheese cubes, and of course, chocolate chips.
Should you be willing to reheat something, we also have bbq beef, rice, chicken, pancakes, as well as pizza sitting in the fridge waiting to be consumed. And don’t worry…none of the above mentioned items have been with us longer than a week.
Additionally, we have all the makings for a delicious salad, should you feel so inclined.
And, per usual, there is an assortment of granola bars, protein shakes, cereal and trail mix.
Rest assured that milk is once again on the premises: 2%, skim or almond.
You may have to move some things around…but no need to worry, I have confidence in your abilities to navigate the pantry.
Just please… do not tell me there is nothing to eat….at least for a few days.
